Employees or Former Employees Enrolled in Company Insurance:
- As we continue to navigate through these unsettling times addressing the multitude of issues that are arising on an hour by hour basis, one of the important items that has come up relates to the status of the company provided health, dental and vision insurances coverages for laid off employees.
- Please be advised that all of the above noted company provided insurance coverages are unchanged and fully in effect for any laid off employee who participated in the plans.
- Additionally please be further advised that we are assessing the provisions of the recently passed legislative actions to determine what, if any, provisions of this legislation may have interplay with the insurance coverages going forward.
- As we further assess this issue please advise any of your employees who are participating in the insurance plans of the above coverage information.
- We sincerely appreciate your understanding related to this matter.

- During this uncertain and difficult time, if needed, you may use the links on this page: Unemployment Benefits List or visit or call your local Unemployment Office. Links are attached on this page for your convenience by state. Thank you for your continued understanding and support. We look forward to this crisis ending soon. Stay healthy and safe.

- First, it is MANDATORY that all stores print, distribute, and post the flyers from the CDC I have sent previously along with these new policies.
- The health and safety of our staff, customers, and communities is our top priority, which is why we are implementing the following measures.

- Social distancing is a MUST. If your store is still seeing customers in store, encourage a 6+ foot barrier between you and the customer if possible for everyone’s safety. If needed, you can even take their credit card information verbally into the system to avoid touching the card.
- In any case, every staff member MUST distance themselves from other staff members by at least 6 feet whenever possible.
- You should also try to use dedicated workstations and computers with 6+ foot distances away from the next employee or stagger computer use if necessary, ie one person is on the computer and then another person after them to avoid close contact.
- Remember to disinfect surfaces very often and wash hands with vigorously with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds.
- Use gloves whenever possible
- Strongly encourage or require “No Contact” Delivery. For everyone’s safety, including the recipient and the driver, you can ask the customer to leave the arrangement at a certain place such as a front door. The driver can then call the customer when the order has arrived letting them know that a perishable package has been left at their front door, for example. This avoids direct contact with people.

- If you receive orders for products you do not have, particularly if there are a fair amount of substitutes that need to be made, it is a good practice to call the customer and let them know that due to temporary supply chain issues with our farms and growers, we do not have the exact flowers in stock but will make the item as similar as possible and we are confident the recipient will be very happy. Do not let the customer cancel the order. If absolutely necessary, you can add value such as 15% upgrade in value for free to use

- Push Designer’s Choice or Deal of the Day for the freshest and unique available arrangements to customers.

- Push Add Ons at this time! For instance, ask “why not surprise her/him with a box of Godiva chocolates” during this time. If appropriate, say that we can add a stuffed animal or balloons for only $X…

Remember that all staff must continue to follow CDC guidelines that should be posted in your stores. Thank you everyone and please continue to stay safe and healthy!

- New Options for Customers Effective Immediately - The following measures must be offered to your customers:
1) Customers may ask for “no person-to-person” contact delivery. We should encourage this and ensure that any delivery requesting this is clearly marked and discussed with the delivery driver. This means the delivery driver should leave the item at the front door and call the recipient or ring the doorbell, etc. This will limit direct contact between people.
2) For pickup orders that have been paid for, customers can call into the store and ask that the flowers be brought to their car by a staff member. This will help limit person-to-person contact.
- If you or someone in your household is sick, please notify management immediately. You should stay home to avoid unnecessary exposure for you, for your coworkers, and for our customers and communities.
- Routine cleaning and sanitizing: Staff MUST regularly and frequently clean phones, computers, customer and designer counters and workstations, bathrooms, door handles, and other high traffic areas. Cleaning must occur DAILY at an absolute minimum.
- Follow CDC rules as posted, including but not limited to: washing your hands frequently with soap and water for at least a period of 20 seconds. If soap is not available, you may use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if it is available.
-Sanitize hands frequently
- In an abundance of caution, you should make your restrooms for employee use only at this time.
- Keep us updated on situations happening in your store and reach out to Ann Kincaid for questions or concerns
- Continue to ask me about cancellations or refunds if needed.
- We have sent signs to store managers to put on doors that asks anyone who is sick to instead call or place an order online. This will help reduce person-to-person contact.
- For signed receipts, if you have enough pens, please let the customer keep the pen and replace with a new pen with each customer.
